Friends

I came across this listing recently on eBay.

The raised filler ring and the ink window are consistent with 1950s MB vintage.

However, the feed is rather unusual - not the usual ski-slope or ebonite (split face / shank) types.

I have not seen this before.

Does any of your 1950s MB have this type of feed?

Does it indicate anything: year, model...?

Thanks

Hi there, definately a replacement - i,ve never seen this type on 1950s MB 14x series pens. In fact you only come across two different feeds from the 1950s - early 50s you see flat ebonite feeds, and later 50s you see round ebonite with grooves on face and shank
The rest of the pens looks in pretty good condition though and if you can sneak it for 250$ then thats a good price- but i,d ask the seller if the piston works and fills with water, and if there are any engravings or cracks
They really are fantastic pens - no affiliation to the seller btw
Cheers, paul

Paul

I agree

I have many pens of this period (40s, 50s) and they do not have this feed at all.

They have the ski slope and the round feed (with slit on the face +/- shank).

That was why I posted the link.

Un-usual feed, but is that from MontBlanc or not, I am not sure.
