Wow, someone else from England - brilliant, that must make at least 4 or 5 of us now! Just hope you don't collect American pens........!

i have two Schaeffer fountain pen, and two parker fountain pen, also have Esterbrook 9128 nib looking for an Esterbrook pen to use it with.

i don't know if i should define myself as a collector, I like to use whatever I get my hands on. Whenever I leave a job, and i have seen a nice pen, i just give it a new home :) the majority of my pens are gels, because i've come across some that write well and lasts. I dont write that nice considering my love for pens, which is a shame.

Congrats Lorrie,

Do you know the models of the Sheaffers and Parker?

i don't know the exact models, one is Imperial with white dot, although the gold plate nib half is damaged and i am sending the pen in as part payment, I'm better off just buying another one for the price of fixing it, which I intend to do. The other is a no nonsense made in usa 1990's.

I have an Esterbrook 9128 nib which is quite sought after made for pitman shorthand as its very fine and is flexible. someone gave it to me so that i can do shorthand with it, which was very kind of them. I'll be buying the Esterbrook soon, i may even buy another nib to go with it.

Thing i hate the most with my parkers is how long it takes to flush out the ink, took about an hour last time. It amazes me how much ink is retained within the pen, especially when you think the cartridge is finished, there is still some in the sac.

Hi Lorrie,

I'm an expat Brit living in Israel. I collect English pens like BURNHAM, Wyvern, Swan amongst others.

Welcome to the best FP board!
