So sitting back after a LONG day of pen related activity, I wanted to share my Sunday haul with everyone. This weekend haul is nothing special, just a run of the mill Sunday, typically, I don't share, because this is each week, but I thought it might be a fun post. I know there is focus on getting the "deal" and the price break of buying for resale, etc... so originally, I was going to list the total amount I got in this "mess" but figured it is more fun to keep some guessing. Anyway, here we go... (sorry for the quick and dirty photo, you will get the idea....)

From the top, sorta...

WASP box, from Christmas 1937, per the inscription, in pencil under the lid. I will say, WASP boxes are uncommon. Came with the green small set below, not WASP.

SALZ "Manhattan" pen and pencil set, box. no pen, no pencil, cool box, I liked it, so I bundled it.

Eversharp Doric in lavendar/purple web. clean pen, no nib, but does have the ink shutoff.

Vacuum FIl large sized model, decent clarity. needs a nib, or a retip, might have the correct nib. some bite marks (FWIW, this was the cheapest pen I bought today)

Blue Snorkel, conventional nib, clean, needs rebuilt.

Maroon snorkel, chrome cap, has the wavy line pattern cap, it is likely student model, but has 14K nib

Black vac fill Parker 51, medium nib, clean, filler needs some work.

Black Sheaffer lefer fill, super clarity visulated section.

Short green set, that was in the WASP box, not a \WASP set, but cute, I think Treasure?

Lahn WASP pencil, silver, chrome trim is decent...

striped Parker Duofold, smaller size, metal speedline filler, little bit of trim brassing.

Part of a Diamond Point barrel, early GF bands, no feed, nib, cap

Huge (and I mean girth) Olive ripple desk pen, #5 red keyhole nib needsstraightening. Needs lever box, which I got, and the tool to install it,.

Sheaffer student pen (like my first fountain pen from the early 80's

Moore BCHR ringtop, lever fill, clean

Red esterbrook J, bad cap jewel

Red and Black mottled plastic Wardrite, needs a J bar

Franken esterbrook, blue barrel, black cap

well, there you have it. One item that got left out was a Waterman Calendar blotter from 1925. nice period advertiving piece.

Best!
Rick

Holy cow, Rick! This is a typical weekend for you? How in the world do you keep finding new stuff?

No it's not, it's a POS, bent nib and missing the lever box.

The 67 size desk pen is uncommon. If all wrong with it is the lever box and nib, it is salvageable (if no cracks and if tolerable imprint, or even if not).

It actually is a nice example, strong imprint, no cracks. Simply stated as it is, not a nice pen presently. Surely has potential. If we get the bugs worked out, and other light issues, it will be offered in the Philly pen show auction come January.
