2 first year 51's in not so many as three weeks...

So in the last three weeks, I ended up with two first year 51's...

call me lucky.

neither was bought for a song, but I did alright, in the fact both are clean pens.

The first one is a last quarter 41, in dove gray, has plastic jewels, plastic filler, sterling cap, and the imprint is on the bottom.

I asked my resident 51 expert, he believes this pen is all correct. I don't think it was ever tampered with, and it is real clean, no loss to the rhodium, just the black spots that palgue these where the surface preps left something to be desired, kinda sad, but it is what it is.

The second one is a black wedding band (and I can't remember second or third quarter 41) all aluminum jewels, plastic filler, clean pen.

I am approaching a point where soon I can call myself a 51 collector again. figure all I have collected are date coded 41's, 42's, and rare colors, or double jewels, i have been building momentum.

I will try to get a picture up, you all deserve that!

Man that raspberry P51 with that gold filled band on the barrel looks great. Reminds me of early Waterman's with bands on the barrel

I still need a cedar DJ, and a buckskin DJ

but I need to find them on the cheap... lol

I also need a first year cedar to complete my first year 51 lineup, only 4 colors, right?
