Actually, I do not collect pen ephemera...

But I was looking a long time for one like this:

It's an original Pelikan ceramic display pen stand from 1950's. You do not see them very often for sale so I jumped on this when it appears in South Africa!!

PS: Well, this is the first one I've seen in htis strange color. It was not an easy task to find a matching pen... Finally, I decided for a Pelikan 140 in burgundy.

Very nice find.

My admittedly vague recollection is they usually are white, maybe with blue or black accents. I've not seen one before with fuchsia accents.

There also have been yellow ones with green accents.

Very nice.
I seem to remember Peter Ford - Melbourne Vintage Pens - having a black example with gold accents over a year ago.
On this link - and under the 'whimsical wire' figures - there is a white 150 commemorative Pelican with box: http://www.vintagepe...e_neatstuff.htm

As already said, I do not really care about ephemera...but I really am fond of this fantastic gift box with pen, inkwell and pen stand. Unfortunately it's impossible to get one. That's why I had to have this vintage Advertising brochure. I love this vintage graphics!

This advert must be from 1935-1937. (The black AUCH Pelikan pencil has been introduced in 1935 and was made until 1938. A black and green one, matching to the pen has been introduced in 1937...)

The language is German and the prices are Swiss Franks.

I love the way they have printed the box and the case over the page border. I didn't think you saw much of that back then.
