This was a bit of a surprise....mixed lot....despite it containing a Scheaffer...there's a couple of others that might interest..Posted Image

What's a "reasonable" value ?

I think at that - or similar - price, if you successfully got the lot, you would have done OK.

It looks like there are a couple of P51's - one without a nib, but with a transparent section; and a second one with blue diamond clip, WITH nib and clear section.

There are a couple of interesting pens among them Hugh.
If you simply wanted the Sheaffer [with the c], you could surely clean up the others and sell them on individually to others and get your money back with interest?

It's not a "lot" for me to buy, this one looks like making big money. I've no idea what a couple first year 51 demonstrators would be worth as is let alone restored retail price.

Sorry Hugh :(

I showed my naivety again thinking you were interested in this lot, rather than you sharing it for opinion.

Not enough resolution, but I wonder if the sterling cap on the first year 51 demo on the left - the one with the nib - is a smooth sterling cap?

The cap that would be worth the money is on the 51DJ on the right.. .it appears to be a Wedding Band cap found on first year pens...

Interesting lot of pens, and at the time of me writing this response, up to $405.00 now, wow!

I would think it could go for double or triple the $405 it is at.
