I registered here after a brief (though good-natured) tussle with Dr. I over at FPGeeks, but I've lurked off and on. I'm in my 20s, in grad school, and caught the pen bug about two years ago. Since then I've spent a stupid amount of my meager disposable income on pens, but I think it's been worth it. Here for no particular reason is one of my more collection-worthy pens, a black & pearl OS Duofold with pretty damn decent color that I snagged off eBay for a song:

Yes, it gets used.

And since we're on the subject of the black & pearl, I have NEVER seen one with perfect color. Anyone have one they'd be willing to post here?

Welcome Aschup,

I have a focus on superb jade celluloid pens, and a more modest pursuit of black/pearl in same state. I have handled a few DF's over the years that are about as "white" as pencils. I don't own one like that now. Have pics somewhere or other.

Tussles indeed are discrete events. Fun while they last. Done when they are done. Every fresh discussion starts anew ;)

Welcome to the Board.

I have seen a perfect black&pearl, in the GoPens catalogue, sometime ago. Needless to say, it was quite expensive !
