After a Long time, I finally found the time for pen hunt again. Last Saturday was fleamarket day! Not a bad day at all...

...a nice bundle of pens...

...nothing spectacular but still nice pens. The nicest without doubt is this Parker "51" in Buckskin Beige:

But there is also a nice black striped Pelikan 400NN, a cute little Osmia, a NOS Lamy 27 and some Waterman's and some of them with flex nibs. Lots of work for me, that's why I have to finish now.

Great finds Christof. Were they mostly spread out among dealers or did one have a box off pens?

Did your bundle cost a bundle?

You missed out a pen, Christof. What's the pen under the Parker 51? And always a great hunt!

Don't know why but in all the years I have been going to flea markets and boot sales I have never seen one single pen worth buying, how do you do it.

Nice find though.

Nope, I found exactly this bundle. Same rubber strap.

Five bucks each pen. I think this is reasonable, hihi......

Bob, you know what this is. It's a black Soennecken. Nothing exciting, just plain black.

It's nice to know that at least someone has some luck at flea markets.
Here in Rome the only pens that are easy to find are Aurora 88s. I find at least a couple every week (and buy many of those), but it would be nice to have some variety for a change

Christof, you are very lucky indeed! You could almost charge folks to come with you being their good-luck talisman.

No wonder I asked... it was a good ol' Soennecken. ;)

Although I have pretty busy times at work, I found the time to bring two pens of the bundle back to life. It's always an amazing experience to test write These vintage Waterman's nibs. They are marvellous in most cases.

Well, the appearance of These Waterman's number 3 is rather humble....but the nibs, the nibs are premium class!

This one has a flexible stub nib, which writes very smooth:

The second one has a nib which looks like a factory flexible oblique broad, wich is not a common nib as far as I understand...

Just look how they write!

I do not really collect Waterman's pens, but I really am fond of these nibs! t's a pleasure to write with. I love it.
Now, I'm already working on a dark blue 1940's Waterman's Commando which seems to have a wet noodle like nib.... sigh...

Great restorations indeed... but I'm also still amazed at Christof's good fortune of FINDING these, especially at a flea market.

Well done! Nice finds and restoration. Liking the Buckskin Beige DJ 51. Your find(s) definitely qualify as a SUMGAI find. Pity the poor fool who followed you.
