Now I'm not really a Waterman person (I only have 1 or 2 Commando-sized Canadian pens), but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy this pen. The filling mechanism looks a bit interesting, but I guess that was the whole purpose of the Ink-Vue system...its very 'vac'-ish. I think this is a demonstrator, and hopefully it'll clean up nicely when it arrives.

Saw that one on e-bay. Looks to be a demonstrator of sorts, however barrel clarity seems poor - almost that of a jet ray but with a clear top end.

That is definitely an Ink-Vue demonstrator model. Personally Ink-Vues are my favorite pen of all. I have restored a number of them now and honestly I find that no other filling system works as smoothly or is as nice to use as the Ink-Vue (except maybe a really good snorkel). If you need any tips on restoring let me know. A lot of restorers refuse to work on the Ink-Vue as the plastic is notoriously brittle but I have never had any problems and have 6 in my collection.
