Has anyone besides me scored huge on eBay lately? In the past month I've found 3 pens that I will have forever.

- Parker vacuum filler standard true demonstrator, grey pearl, opposite trim
- Chilton Long Island oversized, cream and bronze, deco band
- Golden Quill, black/deep blue, wingflow quill nib, flawless

I've picked up some real gems over the years.  The "best" Sheaffer Balance currently known. Grand Vacumatics and more. They still are out there.

It's all relative, too. While not the high-end sales pens, I've had good fortunes lately with Moores, my first Shadowwave, a Wasp 'Screamer' and a 1st gen vac. Happy hunting times!

Here are a few.

The Chilton is #78, which I believe actually Pearl/Black Veined. Not Cream and Bronze. Although, I am definitely not the most knowledgeable on Chiltons. Does anyone know where you can find info on there numbering system?

was that the one (the OS deco band chilton 78 (and it is a 78, not a 68 which is a cream and bronze) ) that went off with the huge orange Criterion ?

not bad at all

No its not the one that went with the Criterion. The number on the bottom of the blind cap is either 18 or 78. Looks more like a 78 to me.

it is definitely (or should be) a 78

if it were an 18, that would indicate a deco band OS in black

I definitely saved the Chiltons life. Someone probably had tried to get the nib out to scrap, but it held on for dear life. Luckily I was able to get it back in shape and now it is a stroke of genius.
