I  am surprised that I didn't find a topic in this sub forum about the Franklin Christoph pens! I have no affiliations with them unless having 8 different models of their pens counts. Yes, they are modern pens, but unlike some other modern pens, they are unique in style, made for writing function and comfort.

I think you've just stumbled onto the fact that the primary focus of FPB is vintage pens. The owner welcomes everything, and you can see that there are places to post about more modern items, but just hasn't had the traffic.

Start something up! Until/unless the bulk of the populace around here changes, though, the majority of the chatting is going to be about older items.

Thanks! That is what I thought too. I love my old pens but we must remember, all those old models were new models back in the day. I admire what Franklin Christoph has done to come up with new ideas that work.

So do I. I think the point might be that a most of the other fountain pen forums chatter veers towards the modern, so to have this one skew to the older doesn't bother me at all.

Any recommendations on first Franklin Christoph purchase?  Looking specifically at 02, 03, or 20 Marietta.  Actually leaning toward the 20 but wonder how well the slip cap works.  

An old topic and one about a modern pen maker, I know, but as Sandy pointed out - all these pens were modern at some point. 

FWIW: I picked up a F-C Model 66, which is essentially a desk pen with a cap.  No clip and ~6" in length uncapped.  I paired it with one of the new Penwell pen holders (if you haven't seen these, you should take a look; they are actually pretty nifty.  https://penwellco.com/ ) and now have a wonderful desk pen with one of Jim Rouse's SIG F steel nibs.  I have to say I'm impressed with the quality of the F-C 66; I assume their other pens are similar in quality.  The 66 is a C/C filler but there is no reason you couldn't use it as an eyedropper filler.  Mine is in Garnet and evokes the look of vintage celluloid.  

F-C is doing a lot of things right.
