The 216 is the newer version of the 206, the barrel, feed, section and clip are changed, the 216 is slightly longer but a little slimmer.
According to my book ( Montblanc in denmark, Holten/Lund), the 206 was made between 1950-1954, and the 216 was made between 1955 and 1959.
They can be coral red (as these) or black.
