A large silver cased safety pen. 125 mm closed and 15 mm barrel. No markings but has a J Whytwarth nib and the hallmark dates to 1925.

The bhr pen is a The 'Botolph' Pen by JAS Wisbey & Co. St. Botolph's is an area of the City of London and there was a stationers by the name of Wisbey in St. Martins Lane. On closer inspection there is a patent dated Aug 28 1917 (American notation) on the filler lever which I can trace to the Eclipse Pen Company. They produced pens for Conway Stewart during the first world war which had no markings, so I believe that it is a pen that Conway's stamped for Wisbey's between 1917 and 1921 aprox when they started manufacturing their own pens.
