This week I scored a nice Waterman's Lady Patricia set on the Bay. Lovely Ink-Vue pen -- nonfunctional, of course -- and matching pencil -- also not working.
The pencil's nozzle had simply come loose from the mechanism when the mech's brass tube split. Super glue does have a use in the repair biz, folks. The pencil now works, and a quick visit to the power buffer cleaned the surface oxidation off the hard rubber behind the nozzle.
The pen was missing its sac. This is not a difficult fix; all the pen's parts were there and undamaged. But I cheated. A couple of years ago I acquired another of these pens, with a cap from a 3V. That pen had already received restoration, and it's been sitting in my pen cabinet waiting for the arrival of a correct cap. I ended up using the new arrival's cap and blind cap, and -- wonder of wonders -- the lever aligns perfectly with the clip when I cap the pen.
Nice stuff.
Oh, yeah, I also pirated the nib from the new arrival. The one in the other pen turned out to have a slight "delamination" crack in the upper surface...
So what is the name of this color?
Ink-Vue Lady Patricia

Sunset... or something quite close to that. Might have color mentioned in the ad/catalogue page showing in Paul's book, and I have some catalogues somewhere or other.
Nice work, too

Coincidentally, I just today acquired a barrel from the self-same pen but without a cap today.
