I bought three Sheaffers from eBay, described as just for parts.

One of them has the best nib that I have ever used, a left stub oblique and it is astonishingly good.

The rest of the pen was a dog, it was a Vac fill with a crack in the barell that grown men could fall into, Eric Wilson fitted a new one for me and I have polished up the whole thing and it now looks as good as it writes.

The halved Lady Sheaffer went for parts to improve another of its genre and the gold capped cartridge pen simply needed a good polish and a coat of gloss Armourall, now looks like new.

That is a good deal for just $10!!!! The nib would have been a real find at that price, without anything else!
Congratulations!
