Just finished ten day run of night shifts and chilling a bit before catching a couple hours sleep. This picture I long have liked. I'm not sure how many people in pendom embrace Sheaffer's second tier, the sub-brand pens (Craig, Univer, VACUUM, VACUUM-FIL, Various WASPS, Prosperity, etc), but I like 'em. Besides the large collection purchased at the Raleigh show last year, I've slowly hunted nice specimens here and there.

This set- recognizing the inherent subjectivity of the claim- might be the king of the series, for reasons perhaps obvious and not.

Although I do not collect Sheaffers I can appreciate the beauty of this set!

The ebonized pearl material in that set exhibits great colour, unlike many of the Sheaffer's I have encountered.

Very nice. Do you know if the ebonized pearl Clipper came in a plunger-filler?

I don't know, but it would not surprise me if it did.

"King" in regards to size, perhaps? Certainly appears to be... large.

Found another, oversized as always.   Plunger-fill with water-clear spiral transparency. Doubt I've seen ten of this model (lever or plunger) the last decade, this one by far the best condition. Acquired at the Washington DC Fountain Pen Supershow three weeks ago. Happy David.

Very nice. I have not ever seen one in person. Is that round thing on the barrel the remnant of a label?

Hi Gerry.

Yes,  original label, still with part of a model code on it.
