Hello All!

I picked up a Pelikan Taylorix today (my first vintage Pelikan!) and am very keen to do the repair myself. It seems to be an odd mix of parts, though!

Here are some outside shots of the pen:

I hazarded to remove the nib unit and piston. What I've found confused me! According to the photos found here: http://www.caprafico...restoration-275 there seems to be a Pelikan 100 nib unit ca.1938. The piston knob appears to be the same as an Ibis, which corresponds to the look of the rest of the pen. The interior of the piston appears to be that of a Pelikan 100N ca.1946 (the one with the "resin" seal).

The seal appears damaged. Also, it seems that I damaged the piece to which the seal is attached (piston rod?). I'll post interior pictures shortly.

Does anyone have spare parts they can share with a piston newbie??

Thanks!

Most likely an IBIS to start with.

After the war, Pelikan, Geha and Haro also produced for Taylorix. Some of the known Pelikan models in the Taylorix version are the 130 IBIS, the 140 and the 100N. None of these carries a direct reference to Pelikan. Even the beak clip of the 140 model was replaced by a droplet-shaped clip (similar to the 100N).
