Greetings Estie Lovers

Among today's finds in the wild, I present a fairly common Esterbrook Push-Pencil in Pearlescent Gray. Nothing special, move along.

Oh, but it IS special. Perhaps to us Michiganders, and those with industrial background. Many industrial companies provide nice pen giveaways for their customers, my own employer included (Parker Jotters). Not too often do I find a mechanical pencil of better quality as a giveaway. This one sports the Cadillac Gage Company imprint. Said company, now a part of Textron, manufactures armored vehicles and marine craft. It manufactured many of the Vietnam-era military vehicles and artillery and did much business with Chrysler whose vehicles many were based.

Of the many mechancal pencils fountain pen manufacturers made to match their primary pen offerings, the push-pencil is my favorite and this Esterbrook is among the top pencils offered to matching pen sets IMHO. It has a nice feel when used, as do the ballpoints.
