Hi Everyone!

Greg Minuskin here! Yesterday, October 2nd, 2011, was the meeting of the Southern California Pen Collectors Club. We met at the book store called the Mystery and Imagination on Brand Blvd. in Glendale, California. Once again my hat goes off to John Tarpinian for the excellent organization, along with the arrangements for food. I counted almost 40 people in the bookstores' upstairs meeting area. Quite a turn out for a long drive for many of us. Sam Moore, Carmen Rivera, Chris Odgers, Donna Swartz, and even the revered John Mottishaw attended. It is always nice to spend some time with John Mottishaw, my mentor and friend.

First Chris Odgers made an announcement that indeed the Los Angeles Pen Show for 2012 is going to take place and that the brochures for the pen so are being printed and will be mailed shorty, YEAH!

After some trading and pens sales, along with tall tales of how "the pen got away" Fred gave a most excellent presentation on the history of fountain pen ink, including a great multi-page hand out filled with the history of ink. Way to go Fred!

Some photos below from the event. See you next time!
