I've been restoring fountain pens for many years and wonder if others have found Skyline feeds and nibs to be very wet (generally). Anyone ever done anything with the heavily grooved Skyline feeds to slow the ink flow? I just restored one and the nib is fabulous, but it is pretty much a medium and writes like a bold. Ink flow is uniform and the nib does not overload with ink, and the sac is the right size. Could just be me and my luck with Skylines that the ink flow is greater than with other pens.

My experience has been that Skylines do tend to be wet writers, but I kinda like that. It just means that Noodler's and PR inks may not be the best choice. However, I do find I always need to set the feed. Every Skyline I've seen in the wild seems to have had the feed move away from the nib a bit too far over time. You can adjust the nib to run a little drier as well. Having the feed really tight to the nib does help though.
