While I was waiting for a few estimates to be approved, I went ahead and did a straightening job to a Diamond nib still in the section with the feed.

As you can see, it was a bit of a mess before I worked on it, but after repair, it is ready to go!

Thanks for sharing Greg. I enjoy seeing a nib like that brought back to life.

Yes, it is really nice to bring back a nib to be enjoyed again, either as a collectable or as a user pen/nib.

I hope to post more photos of my work on a daily basis. I do so on my website as well.

Thanks!

Nice Work Greg - Without really close inspection I would have put that as having been done by Mr. Binder.... That's a compliment in my book :D

Have an old fountain pen that needs restored or a newer one that needs some TLC? We provide quality restoration and nib work so your pens can glide across the page as gracefully as the best Waltz dancers.

Blotto: Were you playing darts with that thing? ;)

Excellent work, Greg.

Funny how the slit ends after the breather hole, this should not be common as the breather hole would act as a stressbreaker.

Thanks! Glad you like the work. I really strive for near perfection with these repairs.

I heard that the original slit machine sometimes "went too far" and went beyond the vent hole, during production.
