This Jotter Doctor's set ends today and is currently at the large sum of $256 and I thought the pictures deserved preservation. I'd date it early-mid '60s - the middle joint Writefine pencil came after the nose drive Writefine of the late '50s-early '60s and before the clicker Jotter pencil. Although this set is not imprinted, white Jotters (and the white Reflex and Vector) are not generally sold directly to the public, you have to get one from an advertising imprinter. (Same is true for white Sheaffers from the '60s - ever see one w/o advertising?) The thermometer case appears to be a modified BP barrel with a closed end. The cap looks the same as the BP - wide clip tassie/ring as opposed to the washer clip on the pencil - and a raised jewel of some sort. Posted Image Posted Image Are there any Parker thermometer cases known between this set and the Vacumatic? Mmmm, wouldn't a Parker 51 two jewel thermometer case be cool?
