Miracle and Marathon

Are these stand-alones, or maybe a Morrison sub-brand/?

The lever end has a wreath imprint similar to that found on an Eclipse or Morrison (but without the LM designation) The clip is imprinted Miracle. The nib was damaged and replaced by Ron Zorn, so there's no guidance to be found there. And dammit, I didn't keep notes on the imprint.

This is imprinted Marathon on the clip with the barrel having the additional model designation, "Student".

Any insights?

Well I can't offer any insights - but the pens look very nice and I just wanted to say so!

i do think these look Eclipse sub brands. the clip is like the pre 1923 Eclipse clip, and the wreath was used on Eclipse sub brands like Marxton.

I am not familiar with Miracle, but I do not believe this particular Marathon is an Eclipse sub brand. It is somehow related to Morrison and Morton. I don't have my notes with as to the name of the Company that produced these brands, among others, but it was not Eclipse. See threads on various boards related to Morrison, Morton, Marathon etc....

I don't have my notes with as to the name of the Company that produced these brands, among others, but it was not Eclipse. See threads on various boards related to Morrison, Morton, Marathon etc....

ticoun, the Marxton's I've seen just have the name in a Helvetica-ish font on the clip. Early on Eclipse used a logo in the shape of a football with vertical lines in it. These have no markings like that.

well, i've seen one like this, but it might not have been a marxton. i'll try to find it again.
