Hi, all. I just became a collector of Parker Vacumatics. My mother recently passed away, and when cleaning out her house, I found a small collection of Parker pens and pencils. Although I grew up in the '50's and '60's and used various inexpensive fountain pens in school, I never knew my mother to use a fountain pen or of the existence of her collection. My guess is she stopped using them before I was in school, or she may have even gotten some of them from her parents when she cleaned out their house after they passed on in the '80's. At any rate, I'm quite sure the pens and pencils I found have been in the family's possession since they were new.

I would like some assistance to verify what I think I have, and to ascertain their approximate value. At this point, I have no intention of trying to sell them - it would just be nice to know. I will post some pictures in the "Post Your Pen Finds" forum shortly.

Thanks!

Hi,

You've come to a good place to find out about Vacs :)

I added a brief comment to your thread showing the pens and will comment more after the weekend Pen Show. Looks like nice collection :)

Welcome to the wonderful FPB! You will find folks here really nice, and super knowledgable too. David Issacson is especially good with Vacumatic pens, their condition, values, and the like.

Hopefully I can assist you if need be, as I do nib retipping.
