Hello every body. How have you been?

I am always looking for Sheaffer No Nonsense pens and lately I have been absolutely amazed at the prices and descriptions on eBay.
From a $100 marbled green to the one I list here. (I just bought the same pen still in the package for $14.00 including postage)

It's so upscale it's listed as both Up-Scale and Upscale in the same description! A bargain at half the Up!

I'm new here, like so new that this is my very first post so excuse me in advance for any mistakes or violations of protocol.

Growler, I saw the photos of your No Nonsense collection and was impressed. I'm thinking you are the person who can answer a question(s) I have concening these ubiquitous little pens.

I have a No Nonsense, I think from about the 70's and I am beginning to think it is an 'upscale' pen if I may use that term. It's a plain black body, with gold (tone) trim including a gold plug in the top of the cap. The nib is gold (colored) size M and the pen writes just great. I've used it all these years and I think I have probably written a line that could go around the world with this little pen.

In the past year I've been bitten by the 'upscale FP bug', so I have acquired a couple nicer pens; a Pelikan Polar Lights, and a Montblanc 146 (DO NOT tell my wife!) I really enjoy writing with these pens but no way will they leave home in a jacket pocket. They stay home at the writing desk.

So it has occured to me that another No Nonsense or two might be the right approach to traveling with a FP. I bought a couple on line and they are the more common pens with SS colored clips, bands and nibs and, using jargon I am picking up they are 'nails' compared to my old gold toned nib. Hang on, I'm sneaking up on a question here:

What's the difference? Why does my old pen seem so much more flexible than the NOS ones I recently purchased? Also, where and how can I go about getting another one or two like the old one, preferably with Fine nibs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
