This one caught my eye with the reverse trim so I put in a bid and ended up winning the auction. Now the question is Vacumatic or vacuum filler? Any thoughts?

i was looking at that pen, norwood, with the same thoughts in mind ;) there seemed to me a strong possibility that it's a vacuum filler. the only thing pointing against it is the nib, which comes from a later vac.... but then again, who knows what's written on the barrel? good luck!

I'm hoping the nib is a replacement, but even if it is the later vac the reverse trim is cool.

Nib says Vacumatic, but if you got it for a good price it is still a deal. I got my first Pelikan 100 this weekend too. It has been a good pen week.

yes, of course it is. i actually didn't catch that at first look.

Nice find.

As "Vacuum-Filler" the chrome-trim Junior at least packs its own model number, though not shown in the very minimal period literature available.

The peek at clip (top) suggests the early short-stack ring, not specific as seen on GA, VF and early Vacumatic.

Early Vacumatics are found with reverse trim, perhaps left over, perhaps intended production.

Either VF or early Vacumatic should have non-arrow nib (early Junior Vacs, proper have no-arrow "Parker Vacumatic" nib).

I do note that 1937-8 saw release (the infamous "parts blow-out" though go prove it) of seemingly early Vacs. Opaque stubbies and the like crop up with late imprint and late trim. I even have one with deep 1937 imprint and ghost on other side of "Vacuum Filler" imprint. Food for thought. Reverse trim Junior 0th-1st gen black Junior pencils show up with 1940 date codes and with Chevrolet advertising markings. Not sure I've seen a pen to match, but would not be surprised if one is out there.

Do post better pics when arrives.
