Greetings:

FPB by no means exlcudes modern pen discussion, and modern pens may be posted by brand as appropriate to the various fora...

• USA Other
• Europe
• Asia

Still, it has been noted that the core fora tend to attract significantly more discussion of old pens, leaving some who would post about their modern pens feeling excluded.

To facilitate presentation of modern pens, the Modern Pens forum opens Sept 3, 2010.

Depending on if/how the forum is used, possibly posts subsequently will be re-directed to one of the four fora just mentioned. For example, a post about Omas would fit well in the European Pens forum. Still, if users favor keeping the posts in this general forum for recent pens, that will be honored.

So... have at it. If a Modern Pens forum attracts participation, it will be left in place. If it fails, it can always be yanked.
