Jbidwatcher has been too slow and buggy for me. What online service is the best?

I've only ever used Bidnapper. I can't say that it is the best seeing as I've never tried another, but I have not had any issues.

I'll edit this and add that I didn't notice *(Free)*. Bidnapper is not free.

I still like Auction Sniper. It's not free, but it's never let me down with a late bid.

I too have abandoned Jbidwatcher recently and started using Gixen, which seems fine so far. As well as the web interface they have a free desktop manager program for Windows users - though being primarily a Mac user I have no experience of this.

I have a friend who uses Goofbay which has also reliably sniped for him.

AuctionStealer for me. It's free or you can pay. I use the free service.
