Great to see all these pens.

I feel lucky to have seen some at the Big Apple Pen Club meeting on thursday.

Thanks again Rick and David.

Item 46-52 of about 200. Focus on small name pens. Hicks is well known for making metal pens and combos in various metals. High quality items, they feature plump nibs. They made pens for Tiffany's.

  • HIcks Combo Solid Gold
  • Hicks lever-fill pen. Solid Gold
  • Hicks Combo. Nice pattern. Solid Gold
  • LARGE Hicks Combo (squeezed into there slots), gold-filled
  • Hicks set Sterling.
  • Colorado (italian) double pen in classic "Parker Vacumatic" stripes.
  • Century ribbon pen. Gold-filled Overlay. Another classic.

Pen 53- of about 200: Moore. The various "A" pens (modifying earlier numbers such as 96, with addition of an "A") probably date to early 1940's. Decent pens in lovely plastics, they fall a bit below collectable pendom's radar.

  • Uncommon striped Fingertip (referring to the nib).
  • The only "A" era (as in 94-A, 96-A, 82-A, etc) Demonstrator I've seen.
  • L-96 flat-top black and bronze.
  • L-82 (?) Black with blue top
  • ??? model (white-top and black) (possibly an "A" style pen)
  • green striped small pen
  • Snakeskin celluloid L-70A
  • Diamond-pattern brown pearl pen, poassibly "A" era
  • marbled stripes brown/black

The two - toned Moore set is probably called an "Esquire Set" I have a similar two-toned set in gray and stripe with some original literature.

Thanks for sharing that, Terry. First time I've seen that info. By chance is the paper dated?

The Colorado in vac stripes is pretty cool. Can you shoot it opened up and in "action", illustrating how it works as a two nibbed pen?

Sorry, no date on the literature but I can share some more pics and point out that the sticker identifies this set as a model 92-A.
