Here are a couple more "teasers" of the "new/renewed/carry forward of the line.

The All Metal "Golden Award" our top of the line model. Our in-depth Hollywood research reveals Mickey may have given this pen's ancestor to Judi...well maybe.

The above pen is also available in Paladium and gold finish and both come in Fountain pen with 18 Kt nib OR Roller Ball.

And while we don't do limited editions, we do do Tribute pens. Here's the Fire Fighter Tribute pen: This photo was taken before the fire-rescue logo was applied to the cap, but it may give you some idea of what's coming. It comes in a box that looks a lot like the fire alarm boxes of old.

See you in LA where the whole line should be ready to go.

Are the fine nibs "true fines" or are they more like western wide fines?

I had a great time visiting with Syd, learning abut the new pens (they look fabulous), and getting first-hand history of Wahl-Eversharp. Thanks so much, Syd, for taking the time to chat - only at pen shows! :)

Update on Update

Well, the Los Angeles International Pen Show has come and gone and with it the self-designated successful launch/rebirth of the Wahl-Eversharp Pen Co. Based on enthusiastic reactions from the attendees and the reserved compliments with nary a criticism from the other vendors (which in my mind allowing for the forces of nature (human that is) at work, come out about the same), it was very well received. The "acid" test of course is sales and orders which were robust. I was very pleased to see how short the time between consumer discovery, handling, testing and the decision to buy was in many cases. The gotta have it reaction from some was a big plus for us. The OMG reaction from test writers handling the demonstrator with the flexible gold plated stainless steel ceramic coated nibs was very exciting. With confidence built upon that reaction, Mrs. Wahlnut was saying to everyone who came by, "You won't believe how smooth it is...Please try it out." We are also private labeling under the WAHL-EVERSHARP brand our recommended Ink (hey what did you expect?) which is a very fine french made ink.

Some folks were either not that familiar ith the history of the WAHL-EVERSHARP brand or did not see the connection between the pens of say 1945 and the pens we are making today. The best I came up with was: "If Wahl or Eversharp had never effectively gone away, and if they had come to know that some of their designs from the 20's, 30's and 40's would become design favorites if not 'icons', would they not have continued making those designs and improved on them with new materials, colors, metals and finishes? So, we are just carrying on with what they probably would have done if they were financially robust enough to have carried on with things like the pastel colors of our Skyliner 50's and our carbon fiber pen of today". Luckily, Many people who got the "bug" and understood the concept were eager to know when the Doric Series and the Gold Seal "flat top" designs would be coming out. (answers: 2014 and 2015)

A lot of photos were taken that are popping up on line yesterday and today. We were approached by 2 magazines (the "Pennant" and Pen World") about feature articles that should be in the next or next following issues. So, all in all it was a very satisfying show which demonstrated a nice reaction from pen people. A nice reward for the effort and funds invested.

People asked a few post back when our website will be up and running. The website should be up in a day or so pending final photo proofs. The site is http://www.wahleversharp.com

You know, I saw the whole line up at the L.A. Pen Show and I have to tell you, these pens are really well made, have great balance, and the fit/finish is tops.

Way to go on the pens guys, keep up the great work!

Also, I want to thank everyone on the Fountain Pen Board for the encouragement and support.

I'm happy to report that all did go well and the wahleversharp.com website has been up and running since about 4 this afternoon. It was nice to see the initial traffic and that people were finding their way around the site and it was even nicer to see people decided to make purchases and place orders.
Come on by and take a look

The site looks good and pens well priced compared to the likes of Conway Stewart ( hopefully with a lot less QC issues as well !!).

Thanks Hugh.
We worked hard to keep the price range as affordable as possible. This was accomplished mostly as a byproduct of our business model. By being a direct web based retailer, there is one less layer of markup built into our prices. As for QC, I think folks will be impressed with the quality control. Every pen is personally handled and inspected by me before being put into inventory trays and again before shipping after a sale. And, I am not an easy grader!.
