I'm trying to include an image in a post in the "For Sale" board and I used the Insert Image button to provide the link to .png file. I got a message that I am not allowed to use that file extension. Okay, so I converted the file to a jpg and tried again. Same message. I use Smugmug as my image hosting service. Any idea what's going on and how I can fix it?

Use the board's gallery function. I'm not particular familiar with smugmug but I'd guess it offers some type of [img] tag for a proper link to the picture.

Okay, I have the picture I want to use in the gallery. I tried the Insert Image function, with a link to the gallery, and it still tells me I'm not allowed to use that image extension. I don't see a gallery function in the Post New Topic page, or any functionality on the gallery page. Clearly, I'm missing something obvious.

This should help. The short of it, don't use the insert image, use the BBCode of the image in the gallery.

Or you can open the Gallery in a new tab, upload your picture, then right click, copy, switch back to your posting, right click where you want the picture, and paste. While in the Gallery, you can play wirth the zoom before you copy if you think your picture is too small.
