Hoping it is OK to post items like this:

http://gizmodo.com/5...-transforming-d

I am still amazed at the engineering in this desk, what with hidden drawers, compartnents, etc., that with the touch of a button or turn of a key either way it simply changes it use fluidly.
It is like a 'transformer' robot but in timber and metal.

Hope you get as much of a kick out this as I have.

Respectfully

So glad my post was so warmly received [ and OK to do so ;) thanks David ]

I remember seeing a very similar desk many years ago when I was a very young boy.
It didn't have a clock or an easel [sp] but lots of polished wood, hidden drawers and boxes.

Positively incredible!

I've seen some intricate writing slopes, but this is an entirely different dimension.

I wonder who commissioned the desk?
