Hi Guys, Well, after weeks of contemplation, i decided i need a new direction to my hobby time. Pens have been just grand, but i need something a bit more warm n' fuzzy- literally.

I've decided to opt out of pen collecting and instead focus on breeding Puggles, which are beagle-pug mixes. Saw one at a pen show and just fell in love with the wee critters. Saving grace is, if i tire of dealing with them, they can be used as hot dogs too, I s'pose

Anyway, i'm not up for nickle-and-diming the pen collection sale. I'd prefer to offer it at a discount, including exotica, oversizes, ephemera, mint pens etc. Probably have around 650 pens.

I want this done quickly, so orders will be entertained until 8.50 am. Eastern Time. If no one wants the collection, I'll hold off another year.

Figure:
  • King-of-Series Imperial Coronet
  • Rare off catalogue "cobra-skin" Vacumatic
  • 20 rare "Vacumatic Cap-Band" pens
  • 70 Maximas/Oversizes 50 Mint Pens.
  • dozens better variants- complete set Senior, Shadowwave, Golden Web etc.
  • Many Diamond Medal re-badged Vacs.
  • Hundreds of Majors, Juniors, Standards, etc
  • Holy Water Sprinkler
  • Thermometer
  • Exotica like the Dread Overmax
  • Several original and copy catalogues
  • Vacumatic table cases and trays.
  • Dozen Imperials, Imperial Signet,
  • 20 Canadian Gold-band pens.
  • 50 Vacuum Fillers and Golden Arrows.
  • 70 striped Vac-fill Duofolds
etc Anyway, $255k probably is about 50k less than the collection is worth all told, offering a discount for someone who just wants to grab a bunch at once.
Please email. First "yes" grabs set. Offers entertained until 850am today, then I defer the process at least a year. Here are some of the pens

Oh damn, will have to wait till next year. Does this mean I won't be able to get a Vacumania puggle either?

I'll sign on earlier next year, so as not to miss the April tease - or perphaps the deal! Ha, nicely done.

Hi Jeremy,

Well, since no one claimed the collection, and I thus will have it at least another year rendering me an active Vac collector still, I likely could be talked into buying a Black Slender Max Vac-Band, if one happened to be on the market. Whoever has one probably should just drop me an email...

I have one, but I'm only selling it as part of my Puggle collection.
Contact me sidechannel if you're interested.

I never saw such a collection of pens, wow! I hope that you are making the right decision, but then again, the dog is quite cute.

Why don't you split the difference and make nice toasty puggle fur pen wraps and cases for your collection? (grin)

Do you take green stamps?

Interesting,  if it hadn't been for 2001 market fall I may have made an offer.  But, I already have 3 really fast dogs and 2 are champions.

What is even more interesting is that Procyon is a bright star in either Canis Major or Canis Minor.  Of course canis is Latin for the genus dog, wolf etc. .  Therefore Procyon the pen guy should have reached out to fund Davids new hobby therby saving me the angst of not being able to afford the 650.

I'm always staggered by this... (I simply can't find the right word), thank you David.

P.S. One day you should talk about that cobra-skin Vac
