Another reason (besides the massive library of old pen literature/catalogues) to join Pen Collectors of America. Rumor has it next issue of PENnant Magazine will have some nice black pens in it.

That is a really nice shot!

Black pens are so underappreciated.

(and btw, last night I finished loading Pen World volume six to the PCA library. More in the works.)

Black pens rock, especially when they're hard rubber!

I thought you liked striped pens, or has Erano gotten to you?

Indeed ;)

Reminds me of the frequent emails I receive, asking if a black Vac is mismatch, since the Shadow Wave, "Long Windows", or typical ringed-clarity barrel in question is paired with a solid black cap. I point out that nearly all Vacs have different barrel and cap plastic, the barrels having "color + clear" the caps having "color + black". When the pen's color is black, you just can't see the black+black stripes of the cap, so it appears to be merely black. Think of all that wasted energy making black-on-black laminates for the cap. Seems so silly... :P

Dude, I'm like first-fandom in the Society "which cannot be named". I probably have more black pens lying around than he does. Of course, I have a few more pens all told lying around, too ;)

Incredible photos, and collection of pens! If I was not in the business, I would be a collector for sure.
