Actually, I need two of them for older Waterman pens. Should be about 5 mm in diameter. Pens are both Sterling overlays, so would prefer Sterling, as opposed to Nickel plated.

Hi

Do you plan to attach them yourself?

I was planning to, but I am not really all that sure how to go about it. Would be grateful for any advice.

Really, unless you plan to explore clip restoration of this sort as part of your immersion in the hobby, I'd suggest the safest path available... send the pen to Andy Beliveau, a noted chemist, silversmith and penster, and he will return your pen to you with well attached clip ball.

I suppose that makes sense, especially considering the pen. Here is the one I am talking about - just got it from eBay (actually still in the mail).

The other pen is a hand engraved vine, but it has a broken lever and a slightly displaced barrel overlay also. I have had it for a long time, and never done anything with it because it is such a mess. Would Andy do that kind of work as well?

Also, does Andy have a website?

Anyway, appreciate the help, David. :)

Andy lives below the internet radar, known to those who who play in serious circles. We've mentioned him here before. Drop me an email, and I'll hunt his email address for you.

Thanks, Jerry, but I already got it from David I. It turns out I decided to do it myself, though. Results were great! You can see the pen in the "Pen Finds" forum.
