Anyone had dealings with an E-bay seller calling himself "penpartsstore" ?

He's *really* close to missing shipping deadline & that's never happened before.

What are my options if doesn't arrive at e-bay's shipping date?

Luckily it's just a mechanical pencil (28 bucks is pocket change) but want to stay away from sellers who might not deliver.

Also checking because he seems to want to remain anonymous-- something I find a bit odd. (In my experience, most sellers will eventually use 1st name when dealing or when deal is done.)

But with this guy... No name on Pay-pal acct., didn't use name in reply to message, & his website (penpartsstore.com) is just a domain name or site under construction. Creepy in time for Halloween.

To be fair to him, he does have 99.7% feedback since 2010 with 1232 transactions. Maybe just has flu or something.

Anyway, just checking. : )

thx

Yes, I bought a couple of times from him, a Parker 75 flighter and a couple of parts, never had problems.
Anyway I don't know what you mean by shipping deadline, are you considering the estimated delivery time reported on the resume?

I have purchased two or three things from this seller, both parts and pens. The seller always ships very slowly, but has always sent the item. I wouldn't worry even if the delay is frustrating. Answers to questions are also often very slow.

Two purchases were overpolished and brassed without mention in description and brassed areas were not shown in any photos. Seller gave a partial refund when I pointed it out.

Thanks for replies.

A bit late in getting back, but (since I asked) should be fair to him & follow up that it got here.

Wear to lucite & lustraloy cap might prevent a rating of "mint" condition but it's still a nice little pencil. :)

Hi
I have used this seller a few times and always got what I ordered, but despatch times are very very slow and postage is always a lot higher than what's printed on the envelope.
I only use them if I absolutely cannot it anywhere else.

I've just bought a P Duofold Decal but I queried postage before I bid but didn't get a reply. When I prompted for a reply things got very complicated and I nearly didn't bother. I'm still waiting for my part but it is in transit so I'm very hopeful it will arrive.

My decal arrived yesterday and it's as described ie. new so I'm well pleased. Can take the nice blue crystal off the top of my Duofold now but to be truthful I think the crystal looks better although it's a gender thing in the main (or a non pen person's viewpoint).

Just an addition to this post. I've had a few dealings with this guy in the past 2-3 weeks, everything shipped immediately and communication was great. I had one question go unanswered for a week, which wasn't important anyway and he responded immediately once he got back from vacation.

Here's the weird thing I don't get, lately he's been selling so many Ariel Kullock pieces, that I'm almost inclined its' Ariel Kullock, or someone very close to him, selling the stuff. There are certain items that are exact matches that are in the Ariel Kullock store.

I believe the seller is Michelle.

same here, seller is slow but does ship. the one thing about them is that they have these hard-to-find parts at decent prices, so i'm usually willing to wait.
Check out my pens here and my blog here.

Its Ariel/Michelle - I saw them at the Columbus Show, and they told me that they lost a pen I had won - so they issued me a refund at my request.

Please join the Mabie Todd Swan project where I am trying to sort out the undocumented mess that is American Mabie Todd's from the 1930's. The last pens that MT seemed to advertise were the "Eternal" pens, and then the company put out a wide range of different styles, shapes, sizes and filling systems before eventually closing up shop. I invite you to post your pictures of your American pens

I have bought a few impossible to get nibs from this seller.  It's amusing that payment has to be within 24 hours, but it is several days before stuff ships.  However, I get the stuff within the week.  That's a lot faster than shipments from Argentina.  I am glad this seller is around, and same goes for Ariel Kullock.  Glad they are doing business when I need parts.

Well, the seller is "SHE", Michelle, who contacted with me when I had problem in receiving my purchases last month.

Anyway, that's a long story, but what if you ask me how my experience with the seller "Penpartstore" was?

I would say it's kind of buying something from an internet business run by a handful house-wife in Miami.

Hope you get the idea.
