Hi,
Few days ago I came across this board but only tonight I had a bit of time to apply for membership.
I have only started collecting fountain pens earlier this year and I would like to learn how to repair them as well.
My favourite makes are Pelikan (both vintage and modern), Montblanc (which I cannot afford most of the time) and vintage Swan and their beautiful flexible nibs.
As to calligraphy or penmanship I am interested in Copperplate, Spencerian and few days ago I came across an old German script, which rose my interest, called Kurrent.

Welcome, to the world of pen collecting. If you want to learn about repairing pens then I would suggest you join WES asap. They are running a repair workshop here in Surrey starting early January.

You will find the folks here at the FP Board really knowledgable and very friendly, and frankly, a much more learned audience willing to help you out. This "IS" the place to grow and to know about fountain pens!
