Okay, so here we are, the month of December. Figured it would be nice to have a sale of some pens laying around here. Few rule changes, so read below.

Shipping is $5 Domestic or $10 International, Unless you use Option 1,2,3 below to pay, then shipping is FREE

Several new forms of payment are now being accepted...

I have changed my business model slightly, so this is now the new way I see easiest to accept payment. All forms listed above are welcome.

A1 Chilton Boston in jade smaller sized pen, what would be their standard size. Decent pen, rebuilt, fills, writes, PVC sac to preserve color. Correct "Chilton Pen Boston" fine point, more firm type nib, 14K, One spot of brassing to the cap band. Clip ball has light wear, Few light bite marks at cap top. Otherwise nice clean user grade pen. ITEM PRICE $120 $100

A2 Eversharp Doric blue web design faceted pen. White gold filled trim, wear to back of cap band, and on high points. Has a marked correct eversharp "Semi Flexible" nib, that could use a bit of tweeking by a nib meister. it was bent over on the pen when I got it. I straightened it, and it writes well, but I think with a qualified professional, it would be better, it is a fine/medium point. Pen has been serviced, and fills, writes, I am not sure how great the rebuild is, but U carried it, and it does not leak. I think it develops more back pressure than it should, but I tested it for some time, and it seems otherwise very dependable. This is the shorter model, other than what I described, clean problem free pen. ITEM PRICE $160  $150

A3 Sheaffer Crest in golden lined pattern, gold filled cap. Classic style sheaffer, in a nice clean pen. Vacuum fill sheaffer professionally rebuilt, and serviced. Triumph style conical nib, had a two tone lifetime medium point that is quite smooth. nice clarity. cap has a few light dents, but very presentable, and ready to use. ITEM PRICE $100  $90

A4 Sheaffer Balance silver stripped set, vacuum fill, professionally serviced. Senior sized, thin model. This set has awesome un ambered clarity, looks like new, the trim is perfect, it is a 875 lifeime pen and a 400 pencil. Pen has the cathedral pattern blind cap, and the pencil functions. It has a two tone 14K non conical lifetime medium point nib, more on the fine side. This is hard to find with no trim wear. ITEM PRICE $120  $100

A5 Sheaffer Balance in black, lever fill, with reeded band. I was told these bands were offered during holidays, or other occassions, this pen has a Sheaffer's 14K mediumish nib, writes nice. These special banded sheaffers are highly collectible, and are not easy to find. nice senior sized pen, with light signs of careful use. ITEM PRICE $85

A6 Sheaffer Balance in silver stripped, lever fill, chrome trim. This one is a senior sized model, not the oversize. Chrome trim is real nice, with exception to a wear spot to the left on the clip. 3/16" long, 1/16" wide. Nice writing Feather touch 5 two tone fine point 14K nib. visulated section, clean pen. ITEM PRICE $100 $90

A7 Sheaffer Balance in red stripped, vacuum fill, professionally rebuilt. This one is a senior sized model, not the oversize. Trim is nice, clean crisp pen, with a nice shine. Pen has a  14K two tone feather touch 5 nib, with a medium point, maybe a slight amount of give to it. Super pen, one was sold a good month back on a commercial web site for over $200, so this one should be a deal. ITEM PRICE $120

A8 Sheaffer Balance in green stripped, lever fill, This one is a senior sized model, not the oversized. This pen is superb, the visulated section is like new, and has that blue green tint to it, there is no wear, Cap is snug like it has been taken off but a few times. The nib is a nice 14K feather touch 5 with a medium nib. Truly a superb pen, with zero issues. ITEM PRICE $120 $100

A9 Sheaffer Tuckaway set in blue, metal caps. Nice set, with the shorthand character on the section. Has a fine point 14K conical two tone nib, pencil seems to work, pen cap has a ding on the cap band. Otherise super nice little set. ITEM PRICE $65

Rick,

did you restore the Chilton?  How hard a job was it?  I have a Long Island, and a Boston is on its way.

Tim

yes, not hard at all. Screw section, straightforward sac replacement. However, if you have to retwine the end seal, thn you have problems. This one was good enough that I did not pull it all out. However to get a full and quick fill on this one, I would consider doing it. I have done them, not the funnest job in the world.

thanks, appreciated.  Is the retying of the thread just a job that has to be done carefully or is it a truly complicated job?  I haven't opened mine up yet, will soon.

Don't!  unless it is truly necessary.

If it functions, let it go.
