I am not a serious collector  but like to visit the Fountain Pen Board once in a while. I found this kick-ass (bad language allowed)  late 19th century (?) inkwell that I thought I'd share. I promptly added a 21st century PVC plumbing cap to replace its missing insert and filled it with some homemade iron gall ink mixed with a god-knows-what mix of blue fountain pen inks.  It was carved from a conch shell and there's writing on the lid that MIGHT say "Sandwich Islands."

That is a unique find, probably one of a kind

They came as a boon and a blessing to men, the Pickwick the Owl and the Waverley pen.

That's truly kick-ass.  Don't let that Noodler's guy see it.
