Hello everybody. So i'm a Frenchman and that’s why, first of all, i have to apologize for my poor English ...

I'm 57 and felt interested in fountain pen's only two or three years ago. After having bought two or three dozens of very different kind of pens (Lamy Safari, TWSBI,  Noodler’s, Pilot Vanishing Point, Pelikan M400, Parker 51, Geha 780, Omas, Montegrappa, Sailor, Mabie Todd, Wahl Eversharp, …), I would say that my preferences would now rather go to fine nibs rather than broad ones, to flexible nibs rather than nails (with an exception for the wonderful P51) and, most important, to vintage pens rather than modern ones ( Pelikan would there be an exception too). In one word, my grail would be a Pelikan 100.

That’s why I’m so pleased to be able to join this forum today.

Regards.

Daniel.

No need to apologize for your English grammar is very good. I'm a new member welcoming you to this forum!

They came as a boon and a blessing to men, the Pickwick the Owl and the Waverley pen.

Hello, Daniel!

Pelikan 100s/100Ns/100NNs are good pens and not all that difficult to come across, unless you are looking for the rarer models like the tortises or the snakeskins which can be somewhat expensive. I would think you will have no problem since you are in the EU. Hope you find one soon.

ETA: Your English is fine, better than my 40 year out-of-date French!

Bienvenu ici, Daniel!

Lately I´ve been having a great interest in pens French and they are great pens too. I notice you don´t mention any in your collection, but a Edacoto or a Stylomine are certainly pens to have in a nice collection and in France you will be able to find them easily than most of us.

Have fun here and enjoy the madness with us!

Best
