Went "penning" today to some antique shops I hadn't hit for a while.  Came up with some nice finds at reasonable prices.  A colorful Moore that I had seen a few times and finally bought - love the plastic on this one, a neat big Marathon in green, and a Parker 51 Vac in a bag of about 10 pens (mostly Wearevers, lol).  Can't wait to tear into them!

Also scored a nice Conklin and a few pens to help complete some that I have in process.  A fun day off!  All comments or info on the pens are always appreciated!

I like the Moore. I have a mini-collection of the "A" series pens in a variety of patterns.

regards

It seems everyone has awesomer (it's a word!) antique shops in their towns that I have. I only find crappy 57th tier ballpoint pens for $132. Nice 51.

Nice finds! Looks like the Marathon may be related to Morrison of NY, but you probably already knew that.

I don't know anything about the Marathon but half my fun is the research.  I think this Moore may be the prettiest pen I own. I'm pretty new to the Moore world and half another black one in process that I'll have some questions on.

Happy New Year all!

.... and I have to go antiquing in 5 below weather vs. wearing shorts in AZ!  Maybe why there were some pens around...  Been a cold December this year - hope the pattern changes soon!
