Snowbound today, so more time for stuff around the house and pen research.

Latest discovery is a big one: I'd long speculated that the well-known Waterman celluloid cigar cutters were personal promotional items given out by Frank D. Waterman, and had had partial confirmation with the appearance a few years ago of one still in its original box, marked "COMPLIMENTS OF ROTARIAN Frank D. Waterman". Now we have a record of them actually being given out at a Seattle Rotary Meeting in 1915.

Nice work David!  I appreciate that sort of documentation; it is great to fill in a gap and to confirm a premise so conclusively.

Thanks for sharing it.

Best,

Daniel

Thanks for posting this interesting article! I've had one of these cutters for several years and wondered about it. Mystery solved! Thanks again!
