First, I apologize for my poor (out of practice) penmanship.

I mentioned the ink used, but forgot to mention the color.  It's black (rather obvious, but I wanted to mention it).  This pen is just like the one I used in my second grade penmanship class, I lost the pen years (decades) ago.

I decided to try to find a replacement on eBay and found one still on the card, I'll admit that I likely paid more than I should have but it IS just like the one I used in school.

Here are a few photos.

They are good pens.  I bought my first pen in 1981 which was a dark green Sheaffer school pen.  I have my Father's first pen which is a Sheaffer school pen from the mid 50's so it was one of the first they offered.

These are great user pens, and write as well as the high end pens. started using them in College (mid 60's) when they were $1.00 in the student bookstore. You know you can pierce the old cartridges and then use a syringe to refill them. I only use the old Sheaffer cartridges in my sheaffer cartridge pens. Plus you can change inks and use bottled ink.

I used them 1960 to 1970.  I recently bought one with an Esterbrook cap and put a Chinese converter in it, like the converters in JinHaos.
