I just did one of this this weekend, and wow, what a challenge.....

 

It is not terribly hard to do, but certainly took some thought on approach, and execution. 

 

I think that anyone that ever did one, would agree. 

 

Under the lever there is a small metal "spring" that sorta slips thru the sides of the lever, then goes thru each side into the actual barrel, quite interesting in how they attached them.

Good to know you can do these. I must have one or another lying about somewhere that needs a lever...

A problem can arise when the "c-ring" and the surrounding area corrodes and "sticks" to the side of the barrel ... which requires "digging it out of the slot" in any pen that uses a "c-ring" support the lever  :^ )

 

Glad that wasn't the case with your repair, Rick!
