Hi all!

From time to time I check in, and post at the FP Geeks site. Lately, in the past 2 weeks, I keep getting a message that says the "Server is Busy, Try Back Later."

Anyone else have that problem?

I'm pretty regular there, and no problems that I've seen. BTW, I'm assuming you mean the forums, not their main "Geek" site.

Yeah, the Forums. Strange I keep getting that message. I am signed in, actually have 4 notifications, yet, I can't even see them.

Here is a screen shot:

Can you assist?

Thanks Jon!

Done (earlier, before dinner!) Since you can't access, no reason to post a link, but here it is anyway, and I'll let you know anything I hear...

Jon,

I clicked on the link; same problem on my end. Dan is usually pretty good with these technical things in the past. Sure hope he can fix it!

Some how I am being blocked. I talked to an IT guy on my end; he said my specific access address is being denied; wonder why? If you could find out from Dan that would be great. I emailed also Stephen Brown and Eric, no reply so far.

Greg, you could have just emailed me directly. To my knowledge, there's no issues at the forum but I'll look into it tonight when I have time. As far as your "specific access address" being denied, I'm assuming your IT guy meant your IP address. If that was the case, you'd have no access to the forum whatsoever.

Yeah, I meant IP address, sorry; late night typing!

Okay, thanks for looking. Looking forward to hearing how come I don't have access to the forum, when I have been a member/with a few hundred posts there for past 3 years, and in fact, just posted last week some welcome messages to new members. Must be something blocking me access, strange. Anyhow, I usually I don't want to bother the board owners/operators, figuring someone else might have the same issue, and give me a suggestion/fix, thereby alleviating you/some in your position of hassling with just one user problem.

Thanks for looking into it Dan! I appreciate it! Looking forward to posting on the FP Geek forum again there asap! I have a few neat things to share.

I'll tell you guys one thing...

I used to have troubles logging into forums as well- even my own!

I have switched my browser to Google Chrome as far as forums go- and have NEVER had problems since!

(I do still use IE for my other web searches)

YMMV!

Yes, one of the first things I did was to clear out my cache and then refresh by completely shutting down my computer, waiting a while, and then going back to the site.

Maybe I am being blocked for some reason. I am sure Dan Smith will rectify the situation soon! I will keep you updated on what happens, stay tuned!

Same as Frank.  Since switching to Google Chrome, three weeks ago, not had the problems I have had when logging on using Explorer.
