I was certainly a bidder.

I had no idea of what it would go for, having never seen one up for auction before. It went beyond my pocket, but yep I would have welcomed this addition to my collection

These are rare. Note that there are fakes, combining a genuine rolled silver cap with a silver-plated rolled gold barrel. The fakes usually lack the correct "R. SILVER" marks on the barrel.
