Hello all. It is my honor to start this thread at the request of our venerable Dark Lord. Here is a little background: I am an ordinary person who lead a rather numdane life but enjoys, inks, pens and paper. As writing is not my forte, but drawing (sort of) is, I decided to transcribe Ambrose Bierce's Devil's Dictionary and illustrate it. I do so sampling different inks and using different pens. I like to make drawing in both white and cream paper.

For those who do not know him, Ambrose Bierce was a journalist from the last 19th/early 20th century. Around 1875 he published a series of satirical definitions in a column he called "The Demon's Dictionary." Between 1881 and 1906, the definitions were entitled "The Devil's Dictionary." Many of his satirical views remain relevant to this day. Nobody knows when or where he died after he went to experience the Mexican Revolution. I think Pancho Villa ate him.

I have posted the letters A-H in the other forums. I hope you enjoy this as much as I have.

We shall start with IMPIETY and IMPOSTOR.

Here is INAUSPICIOUSLY. This one proved hard for me. The pattern on the pen looks like stonework. I loooove the inlay:

Josephine: The Danitrio Frog is definitely a beautiful pen. It is very light too. I have had a lot of fun writing with it, ribbit.

Here is INCOME:

Great topic !! Congratulations... I have enjoyed reading it... keep posting...

I also enjoyed the idea of Pancho Villa eating Ambrose Bierce, since we still do not know how he died after the Mexican Revolution everything is possible...

Best, Ariel

Here is INCOMPATIBILITY. Took me a while to come up with a good idea for this one. The pen is a Parker 51 with an Ariel Kullock cap depicting a the shield of Puerto Rico. Wepa Boricua?

Sweet. Loving the new techniques you are adding, and (of course) the Kullock rocks.
