Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could have my account deleted.  I have looked and searched, but I have found no answer.

There's probably no need to, just leave it and don't use it....all you remain as is a statistic to boost the membership numbers !!...yes, that's why it's easier to join than unjoin...I'm still counted as a member on another pen board despite being "kicked" off.  With most of these boards it's a bit hard but David ( the owner) may be able to.

Regards

Hugh

How do you get kicked off a fountain pen forum?

AND... what are general reputations regarding FPN, FPgeeks and this board?

Annoy the owner, works well from my experience !! This topic posts from 4-11 tells the story.

As to boards, FPN is the biggest and okay if behave with a lot of good people involved...attract unwanted attention and you see the heavy censorship and ludicrous antics of the owner. FPGeeks is more relaxed forum with minimal moderation, a well run and enjoyable forum with a more general focus on pens. FPB is the most serious (vintage) pen forum and also has minimal moderation ( the owner also not welcome over at FPN....there's a lot in that club and a number who just won't post there anymore).

Personally I rate FPB as best for what I like with FPGeeks second. FPN just suffers from poor management, still a very useful forum though. Really it's what suits you that matters. A lot "play" on all three.

Hugh

Brian, an admin can do this for you, but if you are motivated by privacy concerns and want to do something immediately, enter a bogus birthday in the general account settings page, remove your email address, etc. from the profile, etc., until all that is left of the account is the login name you were using and the "display name".  You can change the display name to "I.M.Outtaheer" if you want, but I presume the display name history will still have your original until an admin actually deletes the account.
