after a rough weekend?  Or gremlins in the trim department?  US barrel, but is the cap English?

Well, it has had a chequered career no doubt - there seems to be two English Duofold cap rings wedged on to the cap, the wrong clip, possibly Duofold sourced and the wrong jewel / tassie securing it to the cap. Not to mention the small #30 English nib.....

Well, I like this....thing, I have a weak spot for these "masterpieces" uberrare prototype. Maybe I will place a bid for a (very) few bucks.

It's a 1946 Canadian pen, 130 mm long, so a Major? Obviously a factory one off perhaps to extend the life of the Vacumatic, or more likely a precursor to intended UK production.

 

On the other hand you might think it was some one having a bit of fun!
