I went out yesterday for a couple of hours.  First time in months cos I'm housebound unless accompanied.  When I arrived home the back door and patio doors were wide open.  The dog was silent (a rare occasion).  It was obvious someone had broken in.  I assumed my gold pens would have been stolen but they were tossed carelessly on the bed.  In fact all of my pens were untouched.

They did however steal my lap top some gold jewelery and my cigarettes.  As well as a drawer full of broken lighters.

Experiece left me shaking and very up set.

All my dogs seem Ok just rather subdued but Lucy Cat was traumatised and refused to come out from her hiding place.  The inside of a rise and fall chair.

So difficult to know what to say. Mainly, I'm glad that you and your pets are safe. I realize there are issues with the laptop and data, but the rest is stuff, and can be replaced; lives can't.

My best wishes as you move forward out of this troubling event.

I know what that is like....  and is not a good feeling :( . Thankfully you and your dogs are OK.

The thieves did not knew the value of your pens, if not they would have taken them. I had a similar experience with my coin and stamps collection that were stolen form the house some years ago before I started with pen collectiong. I never recovered any item. That time they even took some of the paintings I had in walls.

Hope you feel in  good mood fast!

Best regards

I was feeling very positive about the whole affair even though the gold watches were left to me by my now departed mum until the CID man called today.

I used to collect dolls and some of them now attract quite large sums of money.  He said that after the initial thieves report back they will do some research and return for the dolls.  I'm a nervous wreck.  Better dust off the walking stick.
